Let’s Talk Vue.js

Vue.js is an open-source front-end JavaScript framework. The small framework is trending as a popular framework for web designers and developers.

Larger scale JavaScript frameworks Angular.js and React.js have increased in demand in recent years. React.js leads in the market for JavaScript frameworks. Based on a State of JS 2019 survey, 71.7% of JavaScript developers are using React. React is closing the popularity gap with jQuery. Adversely jQuery is the framework that has started to fall out of favor for web developers. Based on my research learning React.js would be the best for front-end development.

A suggestion made on a Skillcrush blog post states it is better to start with the smaller JavaScript framework Vue.js then move on to learning React.js. React uses the JSX JavaScript extension which is has a simple syntax that is similar to HTML. Using a framework with more familiarity with the markup language HTML would be a smoother transition into learning how to use JavaScript frameworks for front-end development.
